carolina. we should at least be beating south carolina. [laughter] i hope we are also beating tennessee and virginia. businesses are moving to south carolina and moved to tennessee and virginia because we have been a non-business friendly state. under the regulations and the taxes that mr. dalton has supported and helped pass in the years he has been in office, it will be difficult. employers will not hire someone regardless of the tax credit if you cannot find a qualified employee. they will not take someone who cannot read and does not have basic writing skills. we need to have two pathways to success in our education. one pathway is a four-year degree and another pathway is a vocational degree curriculum. we are forcing way too many people to go to college curriculum when many of these people have skills to buildings and repair things or fix things. this is the old type of thinking in education that i think is hurting our marketplace and contributing to the unemployment rate in north carolina. >> we will talk about education but a year from now, where do you see the unemployment rate

along the coast of south carolina and north carolina. north eastern north carolina and south eastern south carolina will be almost a pivot point for this storm to rotate on. that's going to produce heavy torrential rain in that area. it is moving northeast right now. still sounds weird that this storm is ever going to take this turn to the northwest, but it is going to happen. it's going to happen especially early monday. sunday night into monday morning is when it takes that turn. look at the size of this storm. we are seeing clouds all the way from florida, stretching up into new jersey at this time. eventually the rain with this storm will make its way up the eastern seaboard. right now the heaviest of the rain, dark shades of green, yellows here, that's where we have your torrential downpours. notice how it's just offshore. the majority of the lighter rain is what's affecting the coastline of south carolina and north carolina and eventually will move up into virginia. these are current wind gusts, gusting up to around 30, 35 miles per hour. think how far away the storm is and win

to the south. this is where the severe threat is, in eastern north carolina down to south carolina. some of the storms have been producing some rotation, so there is concern for tornadoes down there. we are only seeing the rain and that is good news for maryland as will quiet down into the night. 71 degrees was a high today at the airport, compared to the normal high of 67. the normal low was a big difference today, 64. we were much warmer than normal this morning. we have brought down to 63 now at the airport, 67 downtown. the cool front is sitting right over baltimore county and starting to cross through. along the cold front we have seen some stronger wind, 20 miles per hour just reported at the airport. something to watch for if you are holding an umbrella outdoors, you may have to grip it tightly with those winds. quiet weather for the next couple of days, but there will be a cool down. we feel that tonight as temperatures are 15-20 degrees cooler overnight. victor degrees downtown but 40's as you get out into the suburbs. -- 54 degrees downtown. mostly sunny tomorrow, a cooler day

of the south carolina democratic party, and tan den, president of the americans for progress. thank you both for being here. >> thank you. >> nira, today you cautioned obama supporters to stop freaking out. so where do you see things now moving forward? >> you know, i actually think that if you look at the numbers, even on gallup, the president took a hit to his numbers from the debate performance, no question about it, but it does seem like he's coming back. you said the president was five points up among registered voters today. that was up from yesterday. so i think the race is coming back to a predebate level. and what really doesn't make sense is for democrats to believe that this race is somehow over when we have four weeks and three debates left. >> dick, when you look at the president and how he's assessing things, let me show you what he said in an interview just released. watch this. >> no doubt that he made a good sales pitch. the problem is the product is not going to work. >> is it possible you handed him the election that night? >> no. >> you're going to win? >> yes. >> he says
